Default Oil cooler or filter relocation

I know this has been talked about before but I need to know what will work with my setup as it's not quite as simple, I cannot find what to buy to keep everything I currently have working and bring the oil temp down,

I have the HKS Supercharger kit and Defi oil pressure and oil temperature gauges,

With the the sandwich plate for the take off for the gauges I have to have a HKS short oil filter on as well,

So this probably does not help my oil temp which I can quite easy get to 125+ if giving it some stick,

So is there a oil filter relocation kit where I can keep my sensors for the gauges and also put a standard oil filter back on,

Or is there a oil cooler kit I can use and still keep the gauges,

The coolant side of things is standard but I have no problems with water temperatures at all so am happy that side just a bit worried about the oil,

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Phil.

take the standard doughnut off to give you more space. In hindsight I would remote filter with the hks charger kit

I have the similar issue Phil as you know. I was going to see Tom/TGM for some advice about oil cooler location, sandwich plates and SC pipes clearage, so watching this with interest.

I don't want to be moving intake charger pipes every 1500-3000 miles when changing the filter.

Bloody ell,125 deg?I'm running a Turbo and I've got a 19 row cooler but it's fed by a slot in my front bumper. My temp is usually around 100,I've never seen it go as high as 110.It normally runs around 10 deg higher than the water temp. Its got a 95 deg indipendant oil stat in it which I bought from Think Automotive.

I was using Defi oil temp/pressure gauges which used to utilise a sandwich plate on the relocation kit.

Hi mate,

Could you elaborate further on your setup of the oil cooler and the oil stat and running of gauges pleasE?

THanks,
Alex

I've got a relocation kit fitted to the side of the engine.I bought a remote filter bracket from Think Automotive which you can specify various tapped holes for gauge fittings ect.I also bought a remote oil stat housing with 2 temp oil stats 85 and 95 I think,I run the 95 so that the oil gets warm enough for the various hydro carbons or whatever to burn off.It makes the fitting of the oil cooler, remote bracket, oil stat all a bit fussy but it seems to work ok.

You can get remote filter brackets with an oil stat fitted but it wasn't flexible enough fo what I wanted.Have a look on Think Automotive website to give yourself an idea what you are looking at.
