So, ignoring the Anti-assistingPuffin's contribution, and the Carpers medically inadvisable suggestion (which seems to hint at yet another way for Mr C to indulge in dubious practices with a car) it looks like a funnel is the biz.

A cardboard funnel sounds a good idea. Anyone seen these in the shops? Disposable I sense - which means the messy cleaning it out process is avoided. You could carry a few in the boot without wasting space.

So now the key question.

What colour should the funnel be to go best with an MC Blue car?

Buy a diesel Peugeot people carrier.

Every time it goes in for a service you get some spare oil and several cardboard funnels.

I haven't had to spend money on funnels since

Cunard always had their funnels in red. But I imagine the Blue Star line would be the best to follow.

Joke:

Bloke walking along the Dock Road in Liverpool, desperate for a pee. Asks a passing docker - "Hey, Mate, where can I find the urinal?". Docker - "How many funnels has she got?".

Boom, Boom!

Funnel and jug can be kinda messy if you want to top up if you're on the road. I don't think an oily funnel and jug was welcome in my car, even in the boot.

I used a used mineral water bottle with a sport cap (Vittel brand)that squirts out oil. No mess on the road, just a quick wipe with tissue over the tip after filling and you're good to go.

TBC

The most sensible, informative and helpful suggestion yet. Shame my British. male, so called experts are not as practical.
