its here experience (albeit only having driven automatics) that the e-brake is hardly ever used in everyday driving in the states.

thanks S2000RJ...thatts exactly what happened apparently...they did tighten it and it seems fine now....just hope it was a one off freak occurence thats all!!

That's what I thought. So if it was badly adjusted, and could not hold the car, it was a fault. Nothing too unusual, although not to be expected on a new car. It's a check and adjust on PDI and every service. Why the b.s. about the heat? I think we need a separate forum on this board What the dealer told me It could certainly keep Honda amused

Yes, that would work too

Yes, I'll be there, I'm leading the Horsham pre-pre-mini-meet-meet. I can show you the scratches the dealer put on my cam cover. When I showed the mechanic, his initial response was They're all like that They've now agreed to replace it, but only after I wrote to the M.D.

With an annual for the most consistent winner. maybe we could invite Jeremy Clarkson to award it in person

kinda digressing from the point of this thread (we should start another one!!) but after a week of having my car i took it back to the service dept complaining that the gearbox was making a grinding noise on changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd occasionally.....i knew i was banging my head against a wall when out came mr cheif mechanic - the "s2000 specialist" as the service manager called him...who incidentally was the guy who did PDI my car - no prizes for guessing that he didnt find anything wrong with my car - not when he has a job to protect.

his explanation after being out in the car with me for 25 mins and hearing it several times - IM NOT DRIVING IT PROPERLY....his words.."i dont know what your previous car was but you now have a 'proper' sports car" I MEAN WTF!!!

i complained to the service manager who put in a report to honda on the problem because they hadnt sold too many s2ks and obviously all problems are new to them.

since then and a month later it has gone away...had the car rechecked over and they found a loose exhaust bracket but nothing else.

makes you wonder how some people are actually allowed near the public!!

my S2000 won't actually start unless you dip the clutch, there seems to be a switch connecting the started and the clutch peddle.
