Default oooh.. engine warning light on the beater :-(

The C3 is doing stupid things. Orange lights started flashing "engine diagnosis" it started driving jerky and felt heat soaky / loss of power.. Anyway its likely to be fuel injection or emmission issue, could even be a shagged cat who knows. I'm not going back to the Citroen main dealer as they are bloody annoying and cant be trusted so I am using the little man down the street. He seemed very genuine when I spoke to him and will run a full diagnosis for

Yeah the guy I spoke with was thinking the Cat. Very little info in the handbook other than "fuel injection or emmissions issue - visit a citroen garage immediately". So we got it home slowly and have it parked up until Tuesday

Its a 1.4l petrol. Without having driven it I understand it feels jerky and loses power, example in second on a hill before coming back to life half way up. Sounds like it feels like running a cold engine on a cold day mixed with a bit of heat soak

Yeah - would be interesting what your man can tell me! I no nout about engines so some info / advice prior to me taking it in would be useful.

Think I get a full printout of the diagnosis so that should prove useful.. Let's just hope it isnt something critical

OK, so it cut out completely 4 times in 100 yrds on way there, they rigged it up and picked up the error to be open circuit on fuel injection system.

carried out wiring tests on fuel injection harness, removed injector rail, test each injector, find injector number 1 failed, replaced injector, refit rail, carry out further scan test to clear error codes, re-chk and road test.
