Closing up after adjusting the valves, a bit generous on the torque and this happens...






Can I replace the one head bolt without removing the entire head and all will be ok??

 

why undo head bolts for that job?

and is that actually a head bolt or just holding the cam bearing?

 

It's not a head bolt it's a cam cap and yes you can buy it separate

 

Yup, buy a new one from Honda, new one for a B16B costed a few quid

Remove it from the cap, refit the new one to torque spec and then put the rocker back on being careful not to put he-man strength on the nuts

 

10euro, one ordered, happy days. And the valve job is spot on. One thou under spec and sounds lovely.

Yeah just a nip on them bolts.
