Default Optimax Pricing

Just filled up at my usual Shell station in Milton Keynes, whilst filling noticed the Optimax was still priced at 79.9 while regular unleaded now 78.9
They seem to have increased the price of regular but maintained Optimax , only a 1p premium for it
If I'd gone and got BP Super there is usually a big difference, is this throughout the country? Only about 40p extra per tank, happy

I noticed it had gone up by a penny at one of the garages where I buy to 80.9 near Crawley.

As a rule of thumb, if the price differential for optimax and unleaded is more than 6p, I usually go for the unleaded....

Why?!

Even assuming that you were running on fumes when you filled up, it would only cost

Here's another explanation, ME: no no, you're not going to screw me to pay 6p more per litre for the good stuff when its usually only 3/4p more.... so you can kiss my a** coz I'm going for the cheaper stuff to reduce your profit margin......

Not abt money, but more abt not getting screwed over I guess......
