Default Ownership issues

Had the beast for about a month (after reading stuff on this site for over a year) and so far I have a couple of issues I wish to bring up:

- 1st Point

feeling like a knob jokey when you wave at other owners and they dont wave back (I have come across about 3 other S2k's since I bougt mine and results are as follows:

1: Bumped into Karils2k in epsom - spoke to him at some traffic lights and have subsequently been for a beer with him and found him to be a thouroughly nice chap indeed.

2: Waved to a guy in Wimbledon Village - He looked at me like I had just shat on his prized poodle

3. Waved at a more mature gent in an 04 with his wife and I have to admit I have never seen a look of such disgust on someones face in my life.

- my 2nd point is disturbing:

A friend of mine was in the market for a new motor having previously owned an Alfa GTV (questionable motor but I like em - not enough to buy though). Anyway he asked about the S, I gave it a glowing report explaining excellent build quality, the the factor when you drive it and the imense pleasure, so he bought a Z4 2.5 instead - what is wrong with people, do they not understand? I wonder why more people do not buy this car - I know its good if loads dont buy because it keeps 2nd hand prices keen and keeps the chav scum away but it confuses me.

Anyway just some slightly pre Big Brother Drunken ramblings.

Dont worry about the waving thing - it takes persistance.

There is another S owner just around the corner from me - it took several attempts before he responded - now I always get a friendly wave back.

Contrast that with the S that pulled up beside me in traffic - both top down, we had a brief chat about how ace the car was

As for your mate who didn't heed your advice - there's no telling some people

Chill ..... we don't want hairdressers to start buying S2ks do we ?

IMHO, the fewer s2ks on the road, the more special we are.
