Have you checked the relay?
As i said above a few years back
its no major problem, other than that maybe the brushes etc have gone inside - as IIRC i read this years ago when someone opened one up.
No idea on the conversion to OBD2, obviously if you do it should work with a phone and bluetooth dongle.
