Default passenger airbag

is their a way to switch off the passenger airbag or disable them altogether.
cos i got two under 5s and another on the way and am a bit dubious about taking them out in me s
ive only had the car for 4 weeks now and was thinking that taking one of them with me to tesco i will be able to park in the mother and babie big bay parking section
i mean the z4 got airbag switches but thats what makes em so poncey too

Do a search on the forum. I've posted a couple of times on this topic.
Basically no switch from Honda.
Hodgemobility in Windsor will disable it.
Need to inform insurer who may get upset.

I have an under 3 (just) and use a child seat in the front with a 3 point harness so my daughter can't lean forward and get within 10" of the airbag which I have left enabled.
I concluded that this was the safest option after reading some US government papers on child deaths/injuries due to airbags. It seems most deaths were caused by the total lack of (adequate) restraints enabling the kids to get very close to a deploying airbag with the obvious and sometimes fatal consequences. Booster seats are not advised, or any seat that uses the main seat restraint (S2000 seat belt) to hold the child.

Of course you must still never fit a rear facing child seat in the S2000.
