I find I get comments when either washing it or when filling up with petrol. Most people like the car because they don't see too many of them and that seems to be what draws the comments.

Of course the 6 year old kids down the road think I'm cool simply because the roof comes down

I get "nice car mister" from all sorts of kids - bit too embarassed to give much of a response really, except the occasional for their (and my) pleasure

More often than not it's forecourt staff who make comments - I went to fill up on Friday (took a good half hour) and the cashier was asking all sorts, such as "Was it fast?"

Thing is, this just wouldn't happen with any other car, I'm convinced - most other performance or pseudo performance cars are so common nobody even notices. The Isle of Man is a fairly affluent place and there are more Ferraris (more per head of population than anywhere in Britain), Porsches, TiTs, R32s, Scoobies, Evos, Z4s, M3s, etc than you can shake a stick at - there are about 15 S2000s on the Island. Says it all really

When I first got my car and the neighbor saw it, she asked me, "Have you won the lottery"

Had a similar scene in a car park last week - an couple in their sixties pulled up in the next space in a Civic 1.6 just as I was dropping the top to leave.

Had a really nice chat with them, they both just really liked the car. Just goes to show that its got ageless appeal.......

Filled up with Opti last week in the Dales. Went to pay, and the woman behind the desk said "I'll give you one of these (Dream Car Card), but you've already got a dream car".

"Well, you can always upgrade" I said

Luv it
