Had a few problems with the engine management light a while back, car was in and out of dealers. I was checking my oil recently and found the pipe in front on the oil filler cap was not there leaving a hole, the pipe was tucked down the side of the engine.

if the link above works it is the pipe just above to DOHC logo on top of the engine .... will it have damaged anything ?? I'm not sure what it does.

Looks like a breather pipe to me, shouldn't think it would have caused any damage.

check you still have the plastic valve.. which should sit in the hole - it's a one way valve to the intake.

Yes the valve was still there, so hopefully all should be well.

Plugged it back in, off for some vtec !
