Pistonheads S2000 re-review
Pistonheads has a brief muse over the MY04 S2000 (link above).
The reviewer seems to get rather put off by the impracticality of experiencing a rear tyre puncture. Personally, this doesn't bother me as I've never had a puncture in nearly 30k of driving (I don't think it would bother me if I ever had one or two either, but that's just me).

Alternatively have the TVR impracticality of tyre weld, slow speed limp back to the garage and new tyre and clean up of rim !!
Know which I will be going with !!
Take off front and put space saver on, take off rear and put front on, hmm such hardship !! Then get puncture mended rather than new tyre !!

"If you are out driving and it starts raining then the six seconds needed to operate the powered hood turns into minutes if the tonneau is in place. Even longer if the boot has luggage in it. Think several long wet minutes while you unfasten the tonneau and re-stow the boot. "
What is this bloke on ? Why make a point of stating the bloody obvious, is this scenario inherent only in an S2000,
I Dont Think So

Simon - Pistonheads is not just a TVR site - it's a car site!

Moaning on about the spare - the way its written you'd think you had a puncture every trip. How many punctures do you have a year?
Did the guy/girl actually drive it?

A fair, factual, if very dull to read review.
I think it is the first time the guy has had to get his hands dirty - stowing a full-sized rear wheel in MOST high performance cars means leaving one's luggage at the roadside, so get over it!
PS - the new MX5 also folds its roof like a Boxster, too!

PPS - I got a rear puncture today.
On the Trek. Fixed it without having to remove any wheels, move them round etc.
PPPS - The wheels on my Trek are 700mm (27 1/2"), so I hope all of you with mere 18" wheels, are really in awe!
