Not if they aren't taking the engine out, which for that price I would guess they wouldn't be.

But yes full set of head bolts would be needed.

I did this sort of rebuild a few years ago to a DOHC ford engine that had covered 120k miles, pretty easy if you have the space.

This would be a difficult one to decide on, is this engine place experiened on Honda engines, they are also using used parts.

Has the dealer removed the cylinder head on yours and if it needs a new head and cam shafts, and big end bearings, what is the state of the pistons and cylinders as surely the damage at top and bottom of engine would cause damage in between.

HI Matt,

I had the same problem more or less just before summer. The only thing I didnt need to change was the cyclinder head. But even with just the cyclinder head it seems a helluva lot of money for the repairs and parts!!! I paid

there's a hell of a lot of spares to source so think i will just go with that price and ask him to do the whole lot..

just a little worrying when it's not an official honda dealer working on your car, don't want any corners cut!

should be done in a few days as well.

thing is was going to sell it before this happened. if i'm spending all this cash then think i'll keep it now..

gutted
