Default Please help, what is this.....?

Hi everyone, hope someone can help?!
Just put my standard air box back in. everything seems to be connected correctly and runs fine (no warning lights etc..) but there is a slight sucking noise (can hear with the bonnet shut) coming from the little sensor thing that connects to the box (see pics below)
Done anyone know what this sensor thing is and why its making a noise, it never did before.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated
Kind regards ben

LOL,

You've connected the pipes up the wrong way round

I suspect you will have a CEL now too.

No worries though its quite common, I did it too.

Yes, swap them round. The top pipe on the manifold goes down to the canister on the cross beam. The rubber hose that comes out of the canister goes into the right angled fitting on the sensor in your pic. Then the outlet goes to the bottom pipe on the manifold.

It wont be damaged.

Its a vacuum sensing device.
