Default Plexus

Spent some time cleaning the roof today.

I used Raggtop stuff from autofanatics. The roof wasn't really dirty, but I felt the protectant was needed. Can't say it's made much difference, but that's probably why. I'll see how it goes.

Used the Plexus on the rear window and aeroscreen. Wow! effortlessly removes plasticisation from the inside and reduces scratches on both sides. And I only went lightly over it. I didn't realise the window was so opaque!

If anyone doesn't have Plexus, they really should consider getting some. It's that good.

Plexus is definitely the business!
Bought some in Florida and it's made a huge difference to my window, I think you can get it in the UK from pyramid plastics.

Check it out,

cheers ,

Sanjay

my rear window is very bad indeed, has yellow opaqueness to it and scratches, do you think something like plexus would have a significant effect, or am I stuffed?

I'm sure that there are degree's of f*ckedness, however I have had a roof well mat from day 1, I clean the window with Plexus once every couple of weeks, but after 8 months the window is very scratched - 2 parallel lines of small scratches (1cm long) where the window lies on the roof frame when retracted, plus a miriad of other long scratches which are especially apparent at this time of year - lots of roof up driving with car headlights shining from behind. I think it is just the nature of the beast - I always epected the plastic window to be a pain, and I have not been dissapointed!

Anyone know how much it costs to replace just the window? - if it is not too silly, I would probably plan on doing this every couple of years or so.

From looking at the American threads, it seems that you have to replace the whole rear panel of the roof not just the window. I seem to remember it costing one of them something like US$700. Not 100% sure though....
