Ray and I have discussed the Powerflex compliance bush.

We think it's a good idea. In terms of geometry it'll will be BETTER than the Mugen bushes in that it offers less 'stiction' (Even though it's not stiction, it's best if we call it that for now).

The problem we believe to be the case is as follows:

You have a nice tight ball and socket covered in grease. It's underneath your car and thus gets covered in shit. This shit mixes with the grease and becomes a rudimentary lapping paste. Thus your bush now develops slack/play.

Would you notice the increased NVH from it? No.

If you are going for a track/race car and don't mind replacing them, fair enough.

However if you are insanely serious about driving this is the one bush you should consider getting a spherical bearing on. I'll put it another way, if it were me and I had £700 to blow on an exhaust or bearings....

could put a cut down gaiter on it,like a drive shaft or rack ect.£130 not that expensive either, £90 mugen
