Default Potential disaster :(

So like an idiot, i have done a lot more research AFTER buying a car and have potentially something unnerving...

When i picked up the car, i matched up the VIN in the engine bay with the VIN in windscreen and ran a HPI check, but i have since learnt that there is a VIN on every panel, and ALL of mine are missing...

The ones i do see are, the one in the engine bay at the front, the one in the windscreen, and the one stamp on the back of the engine bay. I do not have one on:

Either doors
Boot
Reader bumper
Door shuts
Bonnet

My main concern is safety, as i often drive my girlfriend round in the car. I have taken some pics of where i think the VIN's should be:

Its going over to TGM next week, so i will ask them to take a look, but do you think this looks like its had a big smack at some point? The HPI came back clear, if every panel had to be replaced thats going to be fairly costly and i doubt someone would fork out all that cash for a repair.

Should i be concerned?

Your photos don't work, but I have never seen every panel been stamped except the bulkhead

I wouldn't worry personally. As long as the chassis VIN on the bulkhead at the back off the bay, the VIN plate at the front of the bay and the windscreen all match then it will be fine. All other places are stickers IIRC so if the car has had any bodywork or ever been detailed to the point where people hate anything that isn't necessary then they may have come off or been removed.

I only have the VIN in the places I have said at the start of my post, otherwise I would have noticed as I've taken the entire car apart!

EDIT: From memory none of the 3 S2000's I've owned have had the VIN anywhere else actually...

Yea, sorry i dont seem to be able to get images to work on here. Someone kindly corrected them for me last time.

OK thats great, the one on the engine bay/bulkhead/windscreen all match up. I came across a thread (in the US) which said that every panel has a VIN and where it should be, got me a bit panicked.

I know, im just looking to put a lot of time/effort/love into this car so i want to start with a good base.

Came across the VIN thread and decided to go and check all of my panels, then gave myself a good fright!

You've got my curiosity going now; might just take a look at mine although I 100% the car is as it should be.

Don't stress to much over these things; there's always a thread sometime or other that gets you wondering/worrying.

There various numbers on various bits and bobs under the car for certain, i did notice these when laying under my car for hours, I'm sure many will be part numbers etc or factory bin numbers all associated with the manufacturing process.
