Default Power Loss !

Driving onto a roundabout the other day, in the evening, car was well warmed up.

In first, drove off - quite a large roundabout - felt like there was some sort of blockage and the car just wouldn't pull. Put my foot down a little bit and it felt like the car either suddenly weighed 10 tonnes, or there wassomething stuck in the fuel line.

Dipped the clutch, changed up, tried again and it was fine.....

Any ideas? Always run on Optimax, with 2 tanks of Ultimate and half a tank of 95 when I had no choice. 2,500 miles on the clock, 1 month old......

Jo were you sat in stop start traffic before hitting the roundabout, sounds like the car bogging down, as mentioned.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless it starts to happen on a regular basis.
There's usually so much crap in the bottom of the fuel containers at garages that occasionally some will get through.
I've had a similar problem with my bike in the past - it turned out to be moisture in the fuel, even though it is garaged and never gets ridden in the wet.

Sometimes it happens if you engage the clutch with too much throttle and too few revs. One leans out the mixture too much. It sometimes happens on T junctions, which could be the LSD causing too much driveline friction.

Just use a lighter throttle at first, then NAIL IT!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it's nothing serious.

I sometimes get this, definitely what you describe. Usually if ive driven it quite hard, then sat in traffic, then pull away. I put it down to the car sucking in hot air. Ive got an Injen CAI, if thats makes a difference. I hoped when I put the CF bonnet on (has a bonnet scoop) that it might help, doesnt seem to have.

Let me know if you get a diagnosis for this

Sounds a bit like a map sensor problem, although these are often more obvious than this the symptom is the same. (rough running or no power)

This could be a very slight case, but either way I wouldn't wory too much about it...if it keeps on happening the standard fix it to tap it with a hammer
