Got this GEO done today. Doing an AutoX tomorrow, but no time to even scruff in the Victo Racers yet or see what all this does to the handling.



So the game, predict the handling and win a trip 4 2 2 no where (but be recognized as the handling guru):

Facts:
AP1 Stock suspension (MY01)
Wheels : OEM 2005 17"
Tyres: F: 225 45 17" Khumo V700 Victoracers (new); R: 255 45 17 KVR V700 (new)

Predictions:
Overall handling:
- Oversteering
- Understeering
- Neutral

Feel:
On centre steering feel
Turn in response

Stick:
General stick to the black stuff
Slide around like its nobody's business

Will let you all know after!

 

That should be oversteery, yet predictable.

Front toe might be better closer to zero for feel?

Quite a lot of Camber, but lesser castor means it should turn in well & avoid initial understeer.

Probably a bit tramliney on the road but great for the track!

 

Inches? Blimey. What century are we in?

1/8th is 17', and 3/16 = 25'. I think.

So too little rear camber means oversteery, and I think the front toe in will make it stable but spoil the steering response.

 

One could say the same regarding miles vs kilometers

Handling wise. Don't know... What ever they said

 

Worse than that I converted from inches to minutes - i.e. a 60th of a degree.

 

Dembo, check carefully - rear camber is -2 degrees! toe is in inches cause that is how i got it off the autox faq on the us side. i don't know how to convert

 

Are those Khumo's a semi slick type tyre like the R888, Trinis?

 

Well, they are brand new and come 6/32" treads. They have slicker ones now. They are an old design but still fairly sticky - designed for AutoX. But yes, like the R888. 50 tread wear.

Most of us have double the rear than the front. Mine's about -2.5 degrees with about -1.2 on the front.
