Default Prestige Audio in Rickmansworth

In the final stages of putting a new ICE system in to the car

With so much roof down driving planned, then I need to get the sounds sorted.

Found Prestige Audio just down the road from my offices and wondered if any of you guys had used them?

They specialise in Alpine (apparently) and I am looking at the 9850ri system and some new rear head rest speakers

Cheers
James

They are very expensive, and for a relatively standard head unit change, I'd suggest you either do it yourself, or try Impulse in St Albans Road, Watford, who are much cheaper. They do all of Crown Bushey's work for them so are usually ok.

If you're going for a complicated install involving amps, subs and so on, it may be worth using them.

FWIW I bought my HU and speakers from Impulse who did the original install, and my amp and reinstallation was done by Prestige.

Hope that helps.

Prestige have been around for years if that helps, never used em but they were fairly prolific in the 90's Sound off scene (in SQ calsses mainly) They produced some good work back then.

I wouldnt use them again, having seen what they did behind my unit when I took it out.

Although it all worked, the wires were very messy.

Cheers for the pointers, going there during lunch to just suss things out.

Not going for a crazy new system - just a simple new HU and upgrade speakers, plus want to get some headrest speakers as well.

I'll see what they recommend and take it from there.

Impulse are fitting my new Alpine iDA X001 with a Modifry loom tomorrow. I'll let you know if any of it works when I get it back!

Cheers,

You cant really tidy those wires. I spent hours trying. Specialy with alpine units that have a seperate box for power conversion.
