Default PRM intake ordered!

After months of looking into which intake to get and making myself fix important issues such as tyres and seized geo bolts I've order a PRM intake.

I really wanted to go for an AEM v2 but after the recent downpours I've driven through I realized I would be too worried about hydrolocking the engine. I know that it probably wont happen but the engine is too expensive for me to replace.

From looking at the reviews and the comments on s2ki it seem that the PRM is going to be the closest thing to the noise that the AEM produces and should be a nice improvement on the stock airbox I currently have.

I emailed PRM this morning for a quote to post one to the UK and the price is the same as I was expecting to pay for an AEM or K&N. £240 all in and import tax shouldn't be a big issue if at all After they quoted I instantly sent the cash over PayPal and 10 minutes later I had the dispatch confirmed for today and my tracking ID. Great service.

Hopefully pictures and before/after video will be here soon!!!

I too have been looking at replacing the stock intake - only taken me 4 years of ownership . Out of interest, why not K&N?

See above!

Read a few posts of unclefesters wishing he hadn't swapped to the K&N. Not many people have tried more than one intake and the videos won't give a true comparison. I'm gonna tell the Mrs it's his fault anyway

Mine is pretty much sat against the hole in the drivers side wing and i LOVE the noise it makes above 6k - it's a proper roar where the K&N was just a little too civilised

The PRM is a proper man-noise. Noises are hard to describe but the PRM is a very mechanical, gutteral scream. Having owned both, I wish I still had my PRM (Which I think will be my next purchase when I do the remaining cut-outs on my bonnet).

Holy moly, that'll sound incredible!
