Well come on then .. why not ... what makes the PRM so much better?
Paul, you know how it sounds, I was that growl behind you the whole way to the last Pub Meet So you should know the answer to that!

Paul's AEM sounds utterly fab too though - but I'd have thought the PRM would sound better in the cabin as the intake opening is closer to the driver where as the AEM CAI is all the way infront of the Radiator and so alot of the sound will be blocked.

The PRM sounds so good largely due to its cone-in-a-resonance-chamber type of design, helps amplify the sound compared to the usual exposed cone style of intake.

When you go for your first drive, you'll be thoroughly thrilled as I was - I couldn't believe my ears, largely because of the huge jump from OEM Air Box (good boy style with the lid on) to the PRM Intake.

Let us know when you have it fitted!
Thing is rhauri I couldn't hear yours ... my AEM was the only soundtrack I could hear

Let's put it this way, I wouldn't swap my AEM for any other intake I have heard so far.

Boys boys enough of this squabbling!

They all sound good (if you want to let the world know you are revving your engines )

I'm afraid to say as an innocent bystander (subjected to all this BAAAARRRP BAAAARRRRRRRP) the AEM takes it I can hear NUTMAN vtecing in the back of my shop with all the windows closed up or coming from Shore Road onto Station Road from a bloody mile away (much to my neighbours delight )

OEM all the way for me. Got all that intake thing out my system with my Citroen AXGT as a youngster togther with the Peco big bore exhaust

And it's now fitted!!!

I've read several threads with people say it's a poor quality item and the fitment is no better. I'd have to disagree. The main intake is plastic and well made. The only part that is S2000 specific, the metal pipe, is also very solid with good quality welding. The instructions are pretty poor but its quite a simple product and doesn't take much head scratching.

So off for my first drive. At first I didn't notice any difference. Driving slowly through a residential area it sounds no different to the stock intake. But then I opened the throttle in 4th and instantly I knew something had changed. Getting onto a main road I opened the throttle again in second and let it run through to 9000rpm. The videos don't do this intake justice. It's very loud before VTEC and just CRAZY once VTEC kicks in. I couldn't be happier with it!

I've created a before and after video but I don't think it should be used to judge the intake. Will upload soon once I've edited both videos together.

Here's the video. You can hear the change in tone from the Stock intake to the PRM but you can't hear the volume.

To sum up how good this intake is. My Mrs whom when I wind down the window to hear a TVR drive past just shrugs and doesn't understand why I do it. After hearing the PRM said "That does sound really good, I can see why you brought it". And no...she wasn't being sarcastic and yes she does know how much I spent on it.
