I like this kind of stuff, and I like the idea of seeing the car take shape bit by bit and knowing I have done it mostly myself. I think the notion of not setting my expectations as to when I'll be behind the wheel should help stave off the frustration. That and a set of air tools, which I've coveted for a long time and just needed an excuse to buy.

So yes, I think I'm pretty sure this is something I'll enjoy.

Must get on to MJ about a salary so we can buy a house with a garage..

Good choice and good luck.

In a few years we hope to build a V8, maybe a Cobra.

Don't forget to budget for all the bits you'll want to upgrade i.e Stack Dash, light weight alloys, carbon seats etc etc.

Built our first Westy in 4 months ! The second one is taking well over a year ...... bloody upgrades !

Oh - and you can't beat the satisfaction of driving something you built yourself

The GTM cars are FWD so never really entered into it - although from what I understand they're one of the best kit
The Libra is mid engined RWD. But only any good if you're short!

400bhp/ton should be fairly handy, my old westy had 500 and was quite brisk!

Building a car from scratch is great, really good fun, I'd love to do it again if I ever get the chance to. 350hours sounds like a lot though, westy took 2weeks to do - although I know they're simpler than the fury..
