What are peoples opinion about the Emerald ECU compared to the AEM V2? There is quite a big price difference but I know it's not the "mainstream" ECU that people buy.

I looked into this and there great ecu,s BUT trying to find a base map would be near inpossible, where for the aem i got sent a base map that started my car within a day for free.
So by the time you spend the extra money on making a map you might as well have the aem which i got for £600.

I wish! I was thinking more along the lines of an intake and manifold.

Dave Walker of Emerald has a base map for the F20C, so you should be covered there. If you are happy to get away from the plug-n-play type ecu's from the likes of AEM and Haltech Platinum PRO which it sounds like you may well be as the last time I spoke to Dave there was not direct loom adapter for the Emerald, then there are far better ecu's. Take a look at the soon to be released LifeRacing F42, that would fit the bill quite nicley for Emerald sort of money. The Demo units are now with dealers etc so it should be available soon.

Thanks.

This won't go ahead unless I can get more cars interested down south, if not I would have to shift it to up north.
