Default Question - 08 Model Differences

I've tried the Technical FAQ (which is an awesome document, thanks to all who helped put it together) but as far as I can see, that only covers model differences up to 2006 - I believe there was another set of changes for the 08 version (or have I heard incorrectly)?

I'm considering a Soft Top 2008 S at the moment, it has a prominent rear wing on it (similar to the US CR version) - is that standard on all 08s onwards, or is this car likely to have been an aftermarket mod?

Also, is there a definitive list of the 2008 changes anywhere?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know about different changes but if the spoiler is the same as the one in the photo below then it is an optional extra, also available were the side strakes which you may be able to make out infront of the rear wheel below, if it has a rear spoiler then there should also be a front lip spoiler, a bit added to the bottom of the front bumper as they should be sold as a package.

There's not a lot of visual difference, apart from different wheels and VSA (traction control) as standard.

The suspension settings are different, and by all accounts, better.

Spoilers and so on are all optional extras.

Do the post 08 models come with an outside temperature reading on in dash?

It will be aftermarket, the CR wing, or anything like it has never been available on a new car in the UK.

If it is a Mugen wing it will use the same holes as the smaller OEM (plastic) wings. Most other wings don't so if you want to ditch the wing you need to replace (or fill the holes in) the boot.

Yes, mine does. Wasn't this first on the 06MY ones?

Also roll-hoop speakers as standard, but I can't say I've really noticed these make a huge difference.

It's right about the revised suspension - 08 onwards have the suspension from the Japanese Type S car (whatever that means!)
