Default Questions, Questions, Questions...!!!

First of all I would like to announce, that over the weekend I became the proud owner of Silverstone S2000 with black leather and black dash.

But now I need lot's of questions answering, or maybe just a few questions answering.

1. I went into halfords at the weekend and brought 5L of 10-40W mineral oil in the orange bottle. Is this the correct oil for topping up?

2. I checked the oil last night after covering a steady 300 miles over the weekend, but the oil still seems to be full. Is this normal?

3. What time of year do people generally start using there hard top, and when do they take it off again?

OK that should about do for now

I would also like to add that I think I might hold the title for the youngest owner on the board, as I just turned 21 8 days ago. Please correct me if I am wrong..

Cheers

AGW

Hi AWG,

great choice in colours.

The oil you bought is fine for topping up.

My 03 MY S has done over 2,000 and used no oil, some cars do seem to drink it though.

I plan to put my roof back on Christmas eve and then take it off on boxing day

and happy belated birthday .

Cheers,

Excellent choice AGW. Tok my hardtop off yesterday, but that was because no one had been around to give me a hand!
Oil, yep that'll do it. Though when I picked mine up the dealer said use Magnatec!
Have put 100ml in mine so far, if that helps.

Double Congratulations. First for your choice of car and second for being the youngest. (I dread to think what your insurance is!!)

In a way I am glad I was not able to afford an exotic car at that age as looking back at the way I drove when I was 21 I know for sure that I would not have given something like an S the respect it is due and my driving skills (which are still very limited at best now) would not have been up to the job. I think I would have got to have known hedges a lot more intimately. I now drive as if there is always someone parked up round the next blind corner.

I've recently got my car and have developed a healthy paranoia about oil as sometimes it guzzels it when driving hard.

Stay safe and enjoy the car!

Congrats AGW, now get some meets planned and come and ask all your questions amongst great company and a beer Especially SM4!

Your q's seem to be answered there.

As for the youngest - certainly if we include USA you're not, there are some 15 year olds (exageration!) over there with them.

As for the UK, not sure - lets see who responds to your challenge
