Not me, I've got one fitted.

Just some info for you, biggest is not allways the best, you can run "to" cold.
Demonstration of my faith in my own memory

Richard - I agree with you

As quite a few of the BTCC teams were demonstrating at Silverstone with their taped up vents over the radiators.
Most race engines would have tape as the rads are designed to work at max power outputs int he highest ambient temperatures. There is probably no thermostat fitted to the system.

Unless the engine is highly modified then a more efficient rad is overkill.

Just finished doing some monitoring for another little project anyway
at 30,50 and 70mph and general driving the Engine Coolant Temp
doesnt change much at all, if memory serves me right it hovers between
84 and 87. Idle it goes to 98 degree's C and then the
fan comes on to cool it back down again.

Standard Radiator seems fine to me thats with the standard thermostat and
and switch and not tracking car however.

If you want cooler why not change the thermostat and rad switch first?

I think the spoon rad switch bring the fans on at 80

The worst thing one can to to a car aerodynamically is to cut a big hole in the front - the air is supposed to go round smoothly, not crash into all that crap UTH.

The object of taping air vents is to reduce drag as much as one can, without causing overheating.

The Ferrari 250 GTO had six removeable flaps on its nose, which was a more elegant solution and somehow made the car even more stunningly beautiful.

I agree , opps

After reading the SIG , have you tried a Throttlebody coolant bypass
with that insulator. It is supposed to reduced the inlet temp even further.

I believe that the Hondata gasket blocks off the coolant holes.

Yes True but the gasket does not stop heat comming through the return hose better to bypass it, so I have read.
Im running some testing on this at the moment.

If interested , ill post up min/max ect , iat temps with gasket and with gasket and
bypass. Im also monitoring , max ignition advance. at idle 30,50-70 and general driving.
One thing i have noticed so far is that at 70mph and general hard driving i still saw a 27 deg IAT in an ambient of 14-15 , with gasket it would seem still room for improvement possibly.

Guy noticed "After the mods, I noticed anywhere from 5-10 degrees lower intake temps via ODB-II. The temps also drop faster when the car starts to move because it doesn't have to cool down the coolant inside the manifold and throttle body."
