Default Radio Code help

Hi guys,

Is there a quicker way to obtain a radio code for our s2000's? I have a 2001 and replaced the batter yesterday as the car has been in storage for some time and the radio is asking for the code. I took the radio out for the serial number and have the chassis number but honda won't give me the code unless I take the car to them which is 20 miles away from me and the car currently has no tax on so I can't drive it down there. Any help would be much appreciated.

It might be written down in the service book.

Or see this post: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/112...t__p__23619038

Next time, connect a trickle charger before changing the battery. Saves a lot of faff, especially on modern stuff with hundreds of memory chips.

Lovegoova - I've checked the service book and all the original paper work from purchase (it has only had 1 owner from new).

Nick Graves - thanks for the tip.

The car has been in storage for over 8 months so I just replaced the battery as I couldn't be bothered with leads and waiting for it to charge. I didn't think it would be this hard to get a damn code I was sure the dealers would supply the code with the serial number and chassis number. They want me to take the car to them with the v5 and charge me £35. Is there not a service online that you pay like £4.99 for the code or is there a code generator like the good old fords

I think it's brilliant that you have decided your own price £4.99 for a service, I think we should all pull a price out of the air for things we want, I would like to pay £12.99 for my yearly road tax, preferably on-line too

See the post I provided a link to, if it works, I think it's free.
