Default Rays

I've been looking at getting a set of wheels. I've contacted the UK distributor who has sent me details of the following wheels which are within my sub £1500 budget:

Quote:

1. G07wt http://rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=35 17x7 + 17x9 fits straight on

2. 57 maximum http://rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=28 17x7 +17x8 (17x9 fits with a small arch mod)

3. 57 Accelerate http://rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=24 17x7 +17x8 (17x9 fits with a small arch mod)

I've never owned a set of Rays so any advice/recommendations appreciated

PS - If you have a set of Rays that want to sell

Can you state what the offsets of the various wheels are?

Chris.

You want to be going for;

17x7.5 ET50 - Front
17x9 ET63 - Rear

I like the 57 maximum out of the choices above.

I've had several sets of rays wheels - the forged ones, but their casting process is amongst the best out there so there shouldn't be any cause for concern.

I'm guessing weight will be similar to 04+ 17's

Fitting 17x 9J wheels in a +38 is possible here is a trackday s2000 with 17x9+38 all round

If you're set on picking from those you have listed I would go for the G07wt. However, +43 may rub the arch liners if you lower the car and run a sensible geo.

The other lower offset wheels will fit with arch mods and/or lots of negative camber but handling will probably suffer.

Thanks chaps.

I will probably wait for a set of CE28N or RE30 to come along. There's not much point in spending over a grand for a set of wheels which wont sit properly.
