If it's visibly out, there's a good chance the car has had a whack on that wheel and there may be more damage underneath.
I would drive it very slowly to a garage and leave it there until it's been checked over.

Your question doesn't make easy reading, but essentially your saying that your alignment is visably out of spec. Therefore the answer is simple isn't it? Take it for four wheel alignment.
As said its possible that this has been caused by an impact, but you would hope that any problems beyond alignment issues would at least be noticed by having the alignment done.
ps i've whacked my rear wheel in the past, it looked awful and was hardly drivable, I was convinced that i'd damaged something, but turned out everything was fine.
A tell tale sign that the wheel has taken a knock is that one of the small guide tabs buy the adjustment cam has been bent over.

Or are you just talking about the normal RWS / lift off oversteer effect?

I hate when people talk about offside and nearside (what exactly is wrong with left and right?). But surely d/s is driver's side, i.e. right and o/s is also the right side?
For example do you mean the right hand side as you look at the car from the front or the right hand side when you are sat in the car ?
O/S N/S removes this issues as does driver's side and passenger side.

The problem with left and right is that they are open to interpretation.

If you meet somebody face to face, and shake their hand, are you confused as to which of their hands is which? Do you think you've just shaken their left hand because you were facing them, or do you understand that it is in fact their right hand you've shaken even though it's on your left?
N/S and O/S change depending which side of the road you are on. If I went to France, N/S would now be the right hand side, and O/S would be the left. A French mechanic might describe the O/S tyre as needing replacing. I get back to Britain, ask a tyre place to change the O/S tyre and they've changed the wrong one.
It's a mad house. A mad house.

Only if you're stupid.
We've all read or heard stories of surgeons removing the wrong lung or kidney due to this kind of error.
The concept of 'right and left' is one of the very few things that we cannot explain or describe without using either 'right' or 'left'. If you don't believe me , try it.
No wonder it is a bit of a mine field.
Anyway, back on topic, the obvious answer would be to go and get a geo check up.
Simples.
