Rear Toe Arms: Hardrace or Japspeed?
Going to replace my rear Toe Arms at the same time as fitting Coilovers & Driveshaft spacers. I have used Hardrace Toe arms before on my Impreza Sti & they were fine for the 2 years I used them. The Hardrace ones retail at £195 & Japspeed at £135, they are both made from high tensile steel & not aluminium. Any opinions or thoughts on which may be stronger or better design etc?

No idea about the Japspeed ones, but my hardrace arms have been installed for a number of years and I've had no problems.

I have got Megan Racing, but to be honest, either of the 3 are the same.
They all ideally need some work. As you can see on the bolt, there is a step as well as the taper part. Therefore, the step is touching the upright way before the taper... What you really need is to remove the bolt, remove the step (e.g. in a lathe) enlarging the taper section and fit it back together. Otherwise, inherently you will get some rear bump steer, very easy to indentify with bucket seats...
So, imo, go for the cheap ones and then take them to a machine shop to remove that bloody step!!!

No work required on my hardrace arms, they just fitted straight on. And when I got it aligned, we took the coilover off and moved the suspension through its travel with the alignment kit attached. The toe angle barely changed between the extents of travel, so it clearly does its job.

You don't need any other bits when lowering 1". I did find that there was less bump steer with polybushed toe arms than with OEM, and the Hardrace were a further improvement.
I'd start off with the lowering, and see how you get on.

I think I might have Lovegroova's old polybushed arms still. I'll have a look...
