Iv got a 2001 MY01, with 93.000 miles on the origional roof with the plastic window, droped it down this morning and heard the dreaded 'crack'

Im fully comp insurance, with glass cover, has anyone ever tried to get it replaced on the insurance before???

or am I dreaming???

 

Typically with fully comp you get windscreen cover. Can you get general window/glass cover?

Anyhow, I think it's unlikely you're covered and if they will pay out, it's maybe not worth the price hike on your renewal.

FWIW the roof on a convertible is normally excluded from the glass section of your policy, but have a read anyway.
