Default Reasonable servicing costs?

I just had my 2004 S2000 serviced at a main dealer. It was major service at 42,000 miles. The service came to £530 - does that sound right to everyone here? Seems an awful lot, but maybe I am getting tighter in my old age!

Thats far too much. The major service at 54k at my local is £370.00 before a bit of discount. I'd always supply plugs/oil/filter etc to get the price right down though..

Service prices do vary considerably from dealer to dealer but i think you should be paying no more than £350.00 for a major if you allow them to supply all the parts. They could of course have completed supplementary work on the car but they should have notified you before commencing that.

Blimey - that is alot! I got quoted £460 from Maidenhead Honda a while ago for a 54k service (major one)and that was more expensive than anywhere else. Although they did phone me back with a quote which was more than Cloverleaft Honda in Reading managed!!
