Default Recall questions

Any of you guys who have had the oil bolt and spark plug recalls done, can you tell me what to expect and check.

1 - I will be checking for any scratches and I mean even the slightest of scratches on ANY part of the car.

2 - Will check (before I leave the dealership) that the oil level is correct and that oil filter is tight as well as the oil cap.

3 - Will also check that thge heat shields are not loose.

Is there anything else I need to check? Will I need to get the geometry checked as I think somebody said that part of the suspension or something that affects tha geomtery is removed prior to removing the oil pan.

All comments will be welcome.

Oh and I've packed my shot gun in case I do find any dents or scratches!!

I would let the dealer know the extent to which you are going to check the car - might even save you checking it Although you will probably want to check it anyway

Just checking

Very funny AE! I am so damn paranoid - I did quite a few searches but the more I read the more paranoid I get!

Cheers anyway.

Have you managed to install the Alpex yet?
