Brings back memories of when I did Hardnot on a two wheeled Honda many years ago, perfect for the tracks and incline.
Great photos

Stunning scenery & great pics Nick - such a lovely part of the country!

I've made a mental note of your recommendation re the A93 out of Dundee for when next I'm up that way!

Like the new S - and as MQ says: not a tintop in sight!

Fantastic part of the country. Hoping to get a weekend in up there before the end of the year.

Used to be my old stomping ground many moons ago.

As you say a lot of the passes are more suited to 4x4s, but it is always good fun trying them in the S.

Kirkstone Pass is absolutely perfect for the S! As long as it's free of traffic, which isn't often. I have an in-car vid of me driving the pass somewhere, only held up at the start near Windemere, until the slow-coaches moved out of the way for me.
I did get to Kirkstone pass too, but having done it a few times before i wanted to go another way and a local mate suggested a road called 'the struggle' which is a little known local road form Ambleside up to the Pass which comes out at the Kirstone pass pub at the top.
My local friend there is a traffic cop ! and he said that the local force use unmarked silver volvos (V70 I think he said ) so watch out for them too !

Thanks for the tip-off. If I see one then I'll drive faster so they can't catch me.
