I've made a mental note of your recommendation re the A93 out of Dundee for when next I'm up that way!

Kirkstone Pass is absolutely perfect for the S! As long as it's free of traffic, which isn't often. I have an in-car vid of me driving the pass somewhere, only held up at the start near Windemere, until the slow-coaches moved out of the way for me.
My local friend there is a traffic cop ! and he said that the local force use unmarked silver volvos (V70 I think he said ) so watch out for them too !
