Default Refurbing calipers

When refurbing calipers is there anything else I should order as well as a rebuild kit and piston.

I'm going to refurb all four corners at once.

Is the old piston generally ok to go back in once the pitting has been removed/sanded?

I think that once the piston has signs of rust/pitting, it is inevitable it will return.

I remember a while back a member (GaryB iirc) had some stainless steel pistons made to order, maybe worth checking how much they are to make/buy.

Brake fluid? Or is that insulting your intelligence.

What's the grease you can use on pistons? I need to do all four of mine sometime soon as well. The rears I did 2 years ago, but have become pretty stiff once again, so maybe that suggests not replacing the pistons was a mistake. Or maybe the mistake was not using grease on the bore.

If you get the proper Honda kit, you get a little sachet of lube for the seals/rubbers & one for the calipers, too.

The pistons are plated mild steel. Once they rust the plating is knackered.

You can clean them up but the rust will come back.
