Default Remapping

Please forgive me if this topic has been brought up but i cant find it. Thinking of getting my S2000 remapped by a company called chippeduk (www.chippeduk.com) if anyone has had theres done and had good or bad experiences with it i would appreciate it if you could give me some guidance .

DarkBlueMark had his remapped with good results I heard.

You can't remap the OEM ECU. THe exception is the 06 ECU which can be flashed (or, at least on the US model). You can run a piggyback ECU or a replacement ECU. Plenty of info if you do a search

Yep I had a Unichip, not to be confused with the product above.

I would be rather suspicious if they claim they can reflash the Honda ECU. You can run a piggyback ECU, which is what the Unichip is.

Ask what they propose to do, and exactly how and post it on here.

I would go with a Unichip myself. Im fussy with these things, as there are a LOT of cowboys out there. I watched to make sure the guy mapping it used det cans, wide band lambda etc...

Maybe on an SC mark, but quite effective on an NA car. Its also only as good as the person mapping it!
