Default replace stock air filter

sure there's probably a post on here but search is broken at the moment.

I'd like to replace the stock airfilter, nothing else at the moment ie no intakes etc. I see mugen, k&n, JR as some obvious options. Any benefits or technical stuff that I should be aware of when choosing please??

Cheers in advance for any help.

K&N

Used them for years, very high quality - no problems.

Andy

P.S. You do realise you're going to get MANY differing opinions on this one

K&N - easy to source, easy to install, easy to maintain.

Though the foam ones are apparently more efficient and easier to clean (J's Racing one IIRC)

yup, K&N

the j's racing, spoon ones are very good for mostly track use i think but do tend to let more foreign objects through (due to the increased flow they provide) to the innards which isn't great for everyday use.

Any recommendations for the best place to get the K&N from?

on a side note do people use the K&N recharge kit or just use water to clean it and then some WD40?

use the kit - you get enough to do two cleans with it
