What is the current view on battery replacement - any recommended suppliers and prices?

Mine is on the way out and I would prefer to buy before it fails completely.

The Honda one is about

 

got a varta one one mine... slight oversize on the jdm battery to fill the tray

 

Just had a Varta fitted this morning. seems fine. 40 quid from a small independant dealer in Alnwick, called Donaldsons. Tried Hi-Q first, they had a Bosch waiting for me but it was too wide, then another that fitted but the terminals were the wrong way round. shop around for a Varta in my opinion...

 

I've replaced with Honda previously, fine. Cheaper than halfords it was too

Having thought I had sourced a battery at a local dealer I am now somewhat confused. I had been told all Honda batteries were the same and cost

 

no point skimping... unless you are into major weight saving get the bigger one
