Default Replacement Battery Options

The price of replacement car batteries for the S2000 seems to have jumped up significantly recently.

Honda - £80
Even Halfords are £72.99

Has anyone replaced their battery for around the usual £50 recently? If so, where from?

Yeah, but that's just a list price - before discount, as their parts guys had gone home by the time I picked up my car this afternoon

It's got a Halfords in that I installed about 6 years ago. That was £40ish, price now for the same battery is almost double

Christ!, must be manufacturers costs etc.

I had a banner one years ago - it was pretty poor IMO.

In my experience though with Lexus and Honda the OEM ones are always the best - theres a big manufacturer that makes them all.

Last time i checked the Halfords battery had different smaller terminals Neil.

I ended up getting a free bosch replacement off them as my battery died within the warranty period.

I dont know how much this cost but i dont like it as the top is blue and looks out of place in my engine bay.

There is a very small Auto parts shop in birtley called S & L Autos, try them as they are normally very cheap.

There are two batteries for the S. One is £76 the other is £40 odd. The more expensive one is for the 04 on models but the cheaper one fits all.

The cheaper one's part no is 46B24L
