Default Replacement wheels and centre caps..Result!

Had car serviced and MOT'ed yesterday at my main dealer and told them about the suspect wheel corrosion and on the caps too. They took some digital photo's to send to Honda and i got a call from them today to say that a brand new shiney set of wheels and centre caps would be here to be fitted by them on monday...

Top result!

Ah, I remember that feeling when they called me and said "Yes, they're going to replace the lot next week"!

Not really the time of year for it, but I took my new ones off a week or two after I got them and gave the a waxing with a couple of coats of Poorboys wheel sealant. Pain in the arse job and I won't know if it's done the trick for a few years yet, but as they are effectively the same wheels that corroded before, thought I'd give it a go!

If Mr Honda doesn't want your old ones I'll happily take them off their hands free of charge

I would not be surprised if they don't refurb them and return them to spares stock. That is what Mits UK did for Wheels they swapped out on warranty, quite a few owners were a bit upset that the wheels they got were not a true match.

Expect your new ones to last you 2 years max before corroding again. Mine have been on 4 yeas now (3rd set since new) and are disgraceful.
