Default Replacement wheels - refurbish old?

My S2000 is coming up to 3 years of age and I will head to the local dealer in Slough in the next month or two for them to assess if I can get new alloys under warranty. I am fairly certain I will, so here's my question, for those of you having had this done - Do you get to keep the old alloys? If so, has anybody used them as an allday or winter set - perhaps with a different set of tyres?

What is going through my mind is that the alloys will probably take most of their damage in winter... It would be nice to have a bad weather set... Also, the factory fitted S02's are brilliant - in fine weather. However it is a bit of a bore to fork out

Don't usually get to keep the old alloys.
I think ianL managed to somehow, but don;t know of anyone else that has.

I had wheels changed on an MY99, car was just under 5 years old when they were changed.

Service manager even told me that it was being done under "Honda's own warranty" and refused my extended warranty documents when I offered them to him.

I'm pretty sure that on the quiet, Honda have increased the warranty on the wheels to 5 years.

Could be wrong however

IDLe* - I think there are enough threads about people having their alloys replaced under warranty.

MrV - when is the Surrey meet? (B-er they keep the old alloys...)

Ruckus - not sure about this. I bought my S (01/Y) about 3 weeks ago from a Honda dealer and they have agreed that they will change them.
