Smile Replacing an 04 front grill

Had to replace the grill in my 04 bumper due to a bird strike. The good news is that the part was just over

Ahhh you don't have your old one do you?

I am making a grill to go on top, and could do with something to draw around! My attempts so far at measuring and drawing the car haven't been too successful!

(And no my grill will be in no way as good as mikey's which I want, just some cheap grill stuff as a temporary fix til I can afford it!)

Lusaka - sounds like the 04 bumper is a lot hard than the 02. I can take an 02 off in ~20 mins.

Dreamer - having looked at Fieldl's to get the 04 template I'm not sure the old bits will help. The 04 has the horiziontal spars like the 02 but different spacing. Are you planning on doing the side ones? Makes sure you get some edging to protect the paint work. Tell you what - you have PM!

Like all these things, it is probably easier with practice and getting the Honda dealer to show me how to remove a "locking clip A" (which are the 2 I broke) will help big time. It should be easier in future as a result although I don't know how to remove the HID washer pumbling.

However those swine little metal pieces in my pic for securing the grill he believed are not designed to be removed . My understanding was that the 03 grill was in 2 pieces and the lower half was part of the bumper so the one piece set up in the 04 seemed a plus. Seems crazy to make the 04 grill so cheap to buy but a bugger to remove in order to fit a new one .

Honda make a mint on parts normally!

HID plumbing removal is easy - squeeze the clip ends together and feed down the tube. The tube then pulls of a bit of hot water on hte tube makes it easier!

Removal is a lot easier with two people though!

Can't see then desgning a bumper using clip that cannot be removed sounds like stealer
