Reverse lockout issues
A few months ago i changed my MY00 gearbox for a MY03 box after it destructed.
Shortly after the change after selecting reverse the gearbox would stay locked in the open gate position meaning it was very hard to find 5th and 6th as you could go to far over.Going into reverse instead of 6th is not something i would like to try. I swapped the gear stick assembly for another MY00 i had spare and it worked fine. That is until today when it has got stuck down as well.
Now either its a coincidence that both original gearsticks were both worn(which seems unlikely because i searched on here and couldnt find reference to it) or does any body know if there were any changes to the top of the gearbox from 2000 to 2003 that would cause this issue
