Hey guys,

I have a 2003 s2000 just wondering if there is a problem with my gearbox. I find that sometimes when im at a complete stop (or rolling to a stop) I find it very hard to change to gear 1 (kind of locks me out)... many times I have to change to gear 2 first before it will allow me to go up to gear 1.

I was wondering if that is normal ~

PS: I Also have a steep driveway and kinda touches one of my exhausts lightly as I go up everytime (coming down is fine tho)... I was wondering if there would be long term problems.

 

How many miles does the car have? Have you changed the transmission fluid?

Does this happen when the car is cold or hot? Both time?

As a short term solution, you can double-clutch or keep doing what you are doing.
