Aw im late in on a Subaru thread

If it was an STi im not surprised. Ok its ugly to some, but they are 2.5l twin scroll turbo (not quite a twin turbo) and if it came through Litchfields, which is likely, it will probably have 330 bhp and similar torque - also 0-60 in 4.8 seconds

Its as quick as an STi PPP and I wouldnt facny an S against one.

Isn't there an STi version of the Forester thesedays? I imagine that could move a bit (by 4X4 standards, anyway!).....
Didn't VBH do a shootout round the track on 5th gear last series? Impreza and one of these as STi? Think it had just come out. Don't think there was that much in it, as I recall.

As I said, will be as quick as an STi in the real world I think. You have a touch more weight and higher COG though.

Yes, in reality girlfriends never laugh at racing, they beat you round the head like in the old school game "Out Run"

Sounds like it's one of the old skool legacy saloons. Basically an even less attractive Impreza Turbo. If mildly modified, it could pull a few car lengths on an S2K.

But try it round corners

There are loads of uberwagens and steriod 4 doors that will cream an S in straight line.

More fool the S drive for trying it on

thing is, the S isn't slow, and sometimes you may want to get on with it

some drivers lose their bottle at x mph and seem to get annoyed by drivers of 'inferior' cars who don't

maybe this is what happened in the post from the other forum?

I once burnt off a TT (one exhaust) in my dad's Forester turbo. He was trying to overtake me on a slip road

It is a great car, unbelievably good round the bends for it's stance and weight, fairly quick, great for transporting dogs/drum kits/bass amps, and very quiet and comfortable.

It would be my beater of choice if it wasn't for the fact they are expensive second hand and very very thirsty in turbo form
