ADAC are the only company who can recover you from the Ring itself, once off the track the RAC will recover you, the AA wont, my mate and his GF had an off at the ring in 2006, he was covered by AA and she had her own cover with the RAC, the AA wouldnt recover him, despite being off the track at his hotel, so they upgraded her standard RAC cover to European and waited 24hours before being recovered.

I wasnt actually there on the trip so this is 2nd hand info but i would suggest getting cover with ADAC who will recover you from the ring and get you home, no quibbles.

Cancel your existing breakdown cover if you have any as ADAC cover you Europe wide, including the UK. That way you are not forking out for 2 lots of breakdown cover, and can rest assured you will get your car back

It might be worth getting ADAC if you can get ADAC. Last time I looked you could only pay via a German bank account. And I'm not at all sure they'll recover you back to the UK.

ADAC are the only company to pick you up from the track. But I've heard that if they are busy (or say they are) you will still have to pay for the locals to drag you off.

You can use ADAC in the UK (they then sub-sontract it to the AA/RAC - but you get actually get priority as a foreigner).

I'm going 29th of May to 2nd of June.

Out of interest (I know it's generally frowned upon) - but the people who've been in their S, what rough times have you done from Bridge to Gantry?

Just curious what sort of pace they do?

I've been twice before in my 106 gti and done 9 min 14's.
