having fixed one with similar damage, I would suspect a lot underneath the skin is likely to be bent and broken. Unless you have time to keep the car off the road searching for 2nd hand parts, it's an expensive job.

OP - hope you get sorted out with another one.

That's harsh. Glad you are alright, you should get around 10-11K from the insurence, did you have gap insurence?
Glad to hear you will be fishing for another S.
Just a thought there is a breakers on fleabay who is in the Plymoth area, it may be worth asking what he would offer for it, then you could do a buy back from the insurers and sell it to the breaker, you could end up with a few more £££ for your next S.
Maths- insurers give you 10K, you buy back for 3K (knowing the engine alone is worth 2-3K) sell to breakers for 5K or break it yourself and sell on fleabay.

Ouch... Glad you're ok. Looks like you've destroyed the suspension. 100% write off.

Don't see how insurers could say blue calipers invalidate anything, crazy statement?

Thank you-all for your kind words! I am definitely going to look into getting another S Thankfully my insurance for next year doesn't seem to have risen too much and i just love the feeling when you drive the car.

Very interesting idea about selling it to a breakers! Do you really think they would offer £5000? i always imagined that they just take it for a couple hundred quid?

anyone else have a view on this idea as it does seem to make a lot of sense.
