Nightmare Ross, but glad you are okay.

My only tuppence-worth (as a veteran of this kind of thing) is to ensure you get claim back the road tax yourself. I misunderstood mine and lost a chunk of refund that would have bought a few beers - DVLA were as useless as usual, and wouldn't budge when I retrospectively tried to get it back.

Good luck with getting a new one - I definitely miss mine!!!

Cheers,

Brian

Basically came round a fairly sharp corner (not particularly fast) the back stepped out so i steered to correct it but the car was having none of it, back swung back the other way into a wall which then caused the front to snap in hitting the wall too and putting me into a spin! upon walking back to said corner i almost fell on my arse as there had been something very slippery dropped, spilled or leaked all over the tarmac. no idea what it was as it happened at 1am and with no lights or streetlights i couldn't see a bloody thing. that and i was so enraged at what had just happened i wasn't really in the mood to stand staring at the floor haha.

but hey im ok and i guess thats the main thing.

Good shout on the tax!!! not a great deal on their but every penny i can make out of this whole incident is better than nothing!!

any other ideas experiences or advice please feel free to share

also any more advice on how much i should push for from the insurance company. i know they will try and rip me off to begin with so it would be nice to have a few ballpark figures in my head ready to negotiate with
