I have an old style Road Angel, and toyed with upgrading but don't honestly see much point in laying out 200 quid to upgrade to the new RA (unless anyone can say any different).

However, the last week or 2, my RA has been having real issues locking onto satellites - sometimes losing the signal, sometimes never gaining it, when my ipaq with navman & tomtom has been fine (if anything in the past it's been the other way around).

A friend of mine is having the same issue with his old-style RA.

Now... is it coincidence, so I need to claim on the warranty - or is there something RA are doing to cause problems with the old RA's, to tempt us to splashing out on a new one !

 

I've got an old style one, Jo, and haven't noticed any problems.. But then, I've not been away from my usual speed camera free route for a week or two, so to be honest haven't been paying a lot of attention!
